We are pleased to offer some special classes and a day-long retreat over the upcoming holidays—a time we can all benefit from some extra self-care and personal renewal. We hope you will join us!

Many of our regular classes will be happening throughout the holidays, and some are canceled. You can find details and updates on our online class schedule. Our regular class schedule resumes on Tuesdy, 01/02/2018.

WINTER SOLSTICE YOGA with Ellen Shapiro

Let's slow down, breathe, relax, and rest on this shortest day of the year! The winter solstice is honored the world over as a time of stillness, of deep rootedness within the earth, of turning inward in rest and dormancy. It is also celebrated as the beginning of the return of the light and an opportunity for rebirth. Join us in the OM room, surrounded by candlelight, on this Solstice day for a special contemplative practice of gentle yoga and guided meditation, honoring the turning of the seasons and our quiet places within.

   $15 - $20, sliding scale, no class passes.                             •   All welcome, no pre-registration. First come, first served.

RESTORE, RENEW, RESET with Gretchen Hein

This special class offers you the opportunity to tune to the rhythms of nature using traditional practices of yoga. Winter season soltice is a time when the natural world turns from doing to being, a time of resetting and renewing. Using breath, attention, and intention to attune to our bodies, we will explore gentle stretches and basic yoga postures. Then pausing, we will settle into an extended Yoga Nidra (yogic sleep) to restore our bodies and minds, release tension and stress, and reset our internal rhythms. From here we begin the journey of living a more balanced life.

Welcome to a special space created just for you—a space that helps you relax and connect with what's really important in your life. From the moment you arrive, this carefully designed day-long retreat will support you in coming home to yourself. Through guided meditations, gentle yoga, and a simple ritual, you will be guided to consciously affirm yourself—to accept yourself just as you are right now, to let go of something from the past, and to look toward the new year and beyond with more intention and clarity, more aligned with your own truth. My intention is to create a safe space that supports participants in fully engaging in the experiential processes offered. The underlying focus is about self-discovery and self-growth, living authentically with awareness and presence, and connecting with ourselves on all levels—body, mind, heart, and spirit. My hope is that our time together will provide you with tools for continuing to access those inner resources long beyond the retreat.No prior experience in yoga or anything else is required. This retreat is suitable for most everyone.
