A long-time student with Loretta Armer, she completed her first yoga teacher training and certification from Dr. Armer's Namaste Yoga Teacher Training Center (1999-2000). At Namasté Yoga, Charlene offers Gentle and Restorative yoga classes, as well as Yoga for Balance and Stability, a class designed especially for older students. Her Gentle Yoga classes combine Kripalu and Viniyoga traditions, using an organic approach that encourages students to honor the wisdom of their own bodies and unique individual needs. Each class offers instruction on developing core stability to increase strength and endurance, support the spine, improve alignment, and overall well-being. Students learn breathing techniques that not only support the postures, but also reduce stress and promote respiratory and spinal health. Each class ends with a deep, meditative relaxation. Charlene is available for one-on-one consultations to help you design a personal yoga practice that meets your specific, individual needs. Please contact her for an appointment.
